Grasscrete Installation - New Build Housing Development
Smart Works Civils carried out the installation of Grasscrete as part of the external works package on a new build housing development. Works included the preparation and grading of the sub-base, installation of edge restraints where required, and laying of the Grasscrete system in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
The permeable paving solution was installed to provide a durable, load-bearing surface while maintaining a natural grass finish suitable for vehicle access and parking areas. Following installation, all cells were filled with topsoil and seeded to promote healthy grass growth and ensure effective surface water drainage in line with sustainable drainage (SuDS) requirements.
All works were completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards, coordinating with site management and other trades to maintain programme deadlines.
